My name is Erica, wife and mummy to two gorgeous children! Since a young child, I have always been creative with a passion for drawing and making things. After studying art & design and theatre studies at college in Hampshire, I then furthered my education by moving to Liverpool to study theatrical costume interpretation alongside attending professional dance school The Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre part-time.
I have been very lucky to have explored many different creative roles, including being a theatrical costume interpreter for theatre/television, dance/fitness teacher and personal trainer working with the New York City Ballet and Nike to become one of their UK specialist dance teachers, a graphic designer for a UK health club/ property developer alongside working as an illustrator and creative designer for a craft distributor over a 10 year period.
After having my first child back in February 2010 I began to work on developing my own business so that I could combine being a full-time mum with my passion for sewing, illustration and creative design. After many successful years making toys and working from home around my family, I decided to change direction and Odds & Soxlets has developed into a supply business to the handmade toy community with a variety of noise inserts.
I now combine running Odds & Soxlets alongside working as a Freelance Tap Teacher in our local area with my other business Elevated Tap Company.
